How long does the battery last?
We're targeting several months of standby battery life. The device stays in deep sleep and only wakes when the trap triggers.
Is there a mobile app?
No, not at the moment. Squeak-Alert simply sends an email notification with a time stamp, and a trap ID when using multiple traps.
What Wi-Fi does it need?
Squeak-Alert connects to standard 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. No hub or subscription is required — just your home router.
Does it work with any mousetrap?
The current prototype is designed for standard live-catch box traps. Compatibility with other trap types is being explored for future versions.
